Guest Asselberghs Posted May 23, 2011 Report Posted May 23, 2011 (edited) I am thinking Android powerhouse, as powerful and feature filled as possible, would I go buy a phone that is currently released? or would I await some new stuff? How many successful dual core Androids is there yet? I am careing much for the costum interfaces as I would properbly find 3rd party homescreens or use vanialla Android. I am not actually sure if it has to be a prerequsit that it can be rooted but I guss after a while every phone can. ofc It´s nice that it can be rooted and S-OFFed but I think I´ve killed my old phone, Desire, by a massive amount of rom installations. And my original purpose for rooting isen´t an issue anymore, to get access to paidapps in Android Market. Have you guys got some good ideas? Is Android 2.4 close enough that I ought to wait for that? For now considering Samsung Galaxy S 2 as it seems to be the best power android phone, I am going to run vanialla and some 3rd party launchers but thats easy enough. This phone is a version without NFC though, should I wait out for a NFC version? or isen´t it important, it´s not a feature I think I must have, and I presume there aren´t many places it can be used, but if the other version is just around the corner, I could see my self dissapointed if I jump out and buy it impulsively without NFC when that seems to be the "original" way the phone is made, it´s just Europe/Denmark that´s wierd for some reason. Guest maedox Posted June 5, 2011 Report Posted June 5, 2011 Simple answer; Samsung Galaxy S II. It's really really well made hardware and software wise, especially after owning the slap-in-the-face LG Optimus 2X. I'll rate it on par with the experience I had going from HTC Magic to Nexus One. Not that the Magic was bad, the N1 is just so much better. The 2X is bad though. :D
