Bricked Liquid?

A friend of mine bricked his acer phone, so i bought it off of him for $20. The boot chksum says fail.

When i plug it in, there is a battery indicator, so i know its fixable... i just dont know how.

I own an HTC Desire, which i rooted and sim unlocked and flashed roms on... so im fairly familiar with the processes of phones.

I just dont know where to start on this one.

try entering rcovery and try to flash a bin ...should work:)

None of the button combos seem to work. Only one that gets any response is camera, vol down, and power... which is how i know the boot chksum fails.

Nothing from Back, Camera, Power... or Camera, vol up, power.

When charged and not plugged in,

Replace and remove battery,

Hold down Power+Volume Down+Camera, phone should vibrate 2-4 times. Then hold down Power+Camera, phone will boot into recovery (you will see a little Android robot with a ! down the middle).

Once in recovery, flash a bin- http://android.modaco.com/content/acer-liq...act-collection/ Here are all bins, I suggest a 2.2 bin near the bottom of the post (Liquid E=512MB RAM, Liquid A1=256MB RAM, make sure you know which one you have).

You get the chksum fail when the phone is not plugged in?

You can't get into Fastboot?

Does the Acer Download Tool recognize the phone at any point? If the ADT recognizes the phone, just flash a bin.
