About different version of Stock rom

sorry that I have so many questions.

Now this one is , If I have a stock Rom advent vega V1.09 and flashed Corvus 5 over it. Is the result the same with a stock rom V1.10 and have a Corvus flashed over it?

The reason I asked this is that after tried on all kinds of Stock roms, I found out the POV stock rom V1.10 is the most stable one. By "most stable" I mean the touch screen is perfect. No over sensitivity issue anymore. But the down side is POV V1.10 is EXTREEEEEMLY slow.

SO, if I have a V1.10 and flash Corvus 5 rom over it, do I get to keep some part of V1.10? Or it doesn't matter because Corvus 5 takes over anyway?

(For what I've learned, Corvus 5 seems to be based on Vega V1.09 stock Rom?)

Thanks for answering my quesion. Appreciated.

Flashing any ROM is like formatting you're computer. Meaning everything on the device will be wiped and replaced with the new ROM.

thans for telling me that. sigh... now it's really time to make a choice. I really like the Coruvs 5 rom but I love the touch screen fix in POV v1.10 as well. Tough choice...

The Vega roughly lasts a day of on and off usage, and when the Vega is unplugged from the mains and not charging the touch screen works fine.

So what I do and I think many others do, is recharge it overnight ready for the next day so it never has to be plugged in when it's in use. I've never used the POV rom so I can't fairly compare the two roms. But what I can say is that Corvus5 is a fantastic ROM and so is Pauls.

Ultimately the decision is yours :P

Which ROM will you choose  ... Let us know of your decision.

Take care

If you put ClockWorkMod on you can make a complete backup of your current setup, install a new ROM, have a play with it and if you don't like it (or your mood changes) you can use CWM to go back to your complete backup.

yup, this is exactly what I do now. After consideration, I decided to install both POV and Corvus Roms and creat backup for both.

But, I faced a situation today. (kind of a stupid one in fact).

Today I played different frameworks a bit. I tried to install one and it failed. I didn't think too much, turned off my Vega and went out for a meeting.

After I arrived, I turned on my Vega to take notes about the meeting, and Ifound out it was dead. It went into a bootloop.

I DID have a backup on my SDcard. However, I could not boot into the system successfully, there was just no way to reboot into recovery mode and restored it. I had to wait till I got home.

So, now I have a new question. Is there any way to restore a backup without having to boot into the system first?

Or is there any way to reboot into recovery mode directly? If anyone have any idea, please do share with me. Thank you so much

I have been using my Vega now for 6 months and still loving it however your question has been asked time and time again; even ask about it myself every now and then  but unfortunately the answer is still the same, No.

To me, it’s great for the price the Vega cost, but this having no recovery except when the Vega is working is a bit of a thorn in the side.

Only other solution is to carry your laptop around with just in case you need to recover the Vega while on a mission. :P

Zebrahead did a one click backup and restore. It takes a clockwork mod backup, stores it on your PC and enables you to restore using stock recovery.

Thanks for reply.

So a PC is still required, right?

In Notebooks like asus or acer, they have the real "one click restore" that can manage to happen restore the whole system without having to boot into it first. I guess it's just asked too much for a tablet. sigh...
