Guest andrew531 Posted May 24, 2011 Report Posted May 24, 2011 Apologies if this has already been asked, but i can't seem to find anything. Is it possible to tidy up my vega screen by putting all of my apps into named folders, so that I dont have hundereds of icons all over!. (Like you can do on iphone etc) thank you so much for helping a proud new Vega owner
Guest MaxiP Posted May 24, 2011 Report Posted May 24, 2011 Try Folder Organizer from the market - there's a free version that should do what you want.

However the app only seems to organise the apps when you are actually working within the folder organiser app. When i come out of it and back to the vega screen it hasnt made any difference, I still have a sea of apps on the screen! They are all categorised and everything!!!! I really thought that this was the answer (unless I am missing a step out?)

You can safely delete these with no issues. What folder organiser does, is allow you to categorise all your apps as e.g. Games or Multimedia. You can then put a widget shortcut to this category on the main screen that opens up to show you all your games etc... Edited May 24, 2011 by Yogimax

I can add widgets to the screen where i can drag and drop apps onto and customise it. However i cant organise the other screen where everything is loaded onto. I am running mcr r8 and on the right hand side of my home screen there are 3 icons a browser icon, a block of multiple tiles and a wifi icon. When i tap the multiple tiles it displays a main screen which is rammed full of icons which are not in any order (alphabetical) etc. Is there anyway of putting all of these into folders or tidying it up somehow? Apologies that i wont have used the correct terminology at all! I am trying to learn as fast as i can. Best wishes

Best wishes Hi Andrew Different launchers will allow you to customise the whole experience, from memory ,launcher pro lets you hide apps in the drawer, this is what opens when you press the icon with blocks, adw launcher lets you put drawer items into categories etc so you can tidy them up and i use vtl launcher which does that as well. But all of them arrange the apps alphabeticaly, try them out they all have free versions and they make the vega so much better Regards Al :P
Guest ViPaSoft Posted May 24, 2011 Report Posted May 24, 2011 I use Simi-Folder, https://market.android.com/details?id=com.t...get.SiMi-Folder It is a folder widget that you can customise. place games in one and web-based programs in another, etc. Click on it and a scrollable bar appears with your chosen links in. Personally, I think it's fantastic. Link is for free version, but there is a donation version too if you really like the app.
Guest dbaseii Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 (edited) Hi If you use launcherpro you can create folders. Just touch the screen for a few secs and Select folders then you can drag your shortcuts into them Edited May 25, 2011 by dbaseii
Guest MarkBR Posted May 26, 2011 Report Posted May 26, 2011 (edited) I don't have my Vega with me at the moment, but my Android phone running the same 2.2 version lets me long press somewhere on the home screen, and there is an option along with 'Add shortcut", "Add Widget" etc called "Add folder". If you select New Folder you end up with a folder on the screen. If you then drag shortcuts over this folder, they are stored inside it. So multiple shortcuts can be stored in a folder, which can be re-named. Someone could check if this is possible with the Vega too. M. Edited May 26, 2011 by MarkBR

In fact this works on every Android device I have used.
