Rooted CN SKU, safe to flash custom US SKU ?

I own a CN SKU too, but don't manage to root it. I've downgraded to CN .9 but the root explanation from this site doesn't seem to work. could you tell me how you managed that?

Goodness, me too please. Are you talking about the upgrade from the Asus site or a custom one? I assume the first.
