It seems that it caused overheat(and thus overcharging) last night. I'll try to reproduce this again later today however it is recommended not to be followed (yet).

UPDATE: No longer the case this time, however from my observations unlike Paul's workaround the battery keeps on charging and causes overheat.

No problem with overheating here. And haven't seen the popup in two days :P

I think I have managed to remove the battery full popup from stock ROM

This does require some manual work.

Please have a look at this:

can you figure out how possible to remove the popup in the 2.3?

becuse there is no StatusBarPolicy.smali (Paul's Gr3)

Ok, solved! It is in the latest Paul's Gr relase :)

Looks like you have not even tried to decompile SystemUI.apk... Maybe you just open it like a sipmple archive?
