Guest Steve1M Posted May 26, 2011 Report Posted May 26, 2011 Folks Please shout some advise if you can.- Orange SFO from Argos today....all fine except the following:- - When play youtube videos, there is a square artifact in the middle of the footage.- It is about half an inch square, in the middle of the screen, forming a slightly lighter portion of the footage.- Any ideas what this could be???? ....it is not the screen, as taking photos does not show this "highlighted shadow"- Please help if you can....rgds, Steve
Guest Phoenix Silver Posted May 26, 2011 Report Posted May 26, 2011 maybe the vm heap size there is a line in the file /system/build.prop dalvik.vm.heapsize=XXm (32m in my case) what is the value in your file ? by the way you can try 24 32 or 48 reboot the phone after the edit

Guest flshg Posted May 26, 2011 Report Posted May 26, 2011 (edited) If you're running the standard software from your phone i.e. you havent installed a custom rom (if you dont know what that is then you probably havent), then vm heap size is probably not the issue. btw, are you using the youtube app that came with the phone, or some other app downloaded from the android market? Tks Steve Update..... if i use tubemate the pbm is still there although if i d/load it then play the mp4, the square disappears. - any ideas, pls let me know. Rgds Steve
