Hi im Mark , just signed up as i have just purchsed a vega with Modaco R8 already installed ,and am haveing a small problem

My laptop win 7 64 bit doesnt recognise the tablet when connected via usb .Is this right? if i use recovery mode it restarts and it is then recognised in windows as a seperate drive, but when i click on it ,it asks me to insert a disk in that drive ! and will not let me drag and drop cut/paste to it

Have you got the modaco usb drivers on your pc? The pc won't recognize it with the standard nvidia drivers.

The drivers are in Pauls sticky with the modaco rom download

Installing the drivers is the hardest part lol.

Hi thanks for ur quick replys ,but it didnt work the banner in step 2 is always red it never goes green .What is Usb storage disable and how do u do it

Youi don't need to be in recovery unless you're installing ROMs. Unplug your Vega. Start AUDI again, select either option for "what do you want to do", click "Next Step", then choose delete all Vega drivers.

Turn off USB Debugging (Settings->Applications->Development) then turn on USB storage when asked and plug your Vega back in. Remember to eject the Vega drive on your PC when you're finished.

If you bought the Vega with R8 already on it, it may be in USB Host mode - in which case your PC will only see it when the Vega is in Recovery. Check what USB mode you have set and get it into Slave if you want to use the USB PC connection.

Thanks for replies .In the end i flashed back to factory rom then back to modaco r8 { a backup copy included} ,and it now works as it should , asking to swop[ over to usb storage when i plug in .Theres also a USB app appeared in the apps which wasnt there before

May be something was deleted or corrupt
