Guest gateaublaster Posted May 27, 2011 Report Posted May 27, 2011 I have recently had my touchscreen replaced, which has been done fine or so I thought. I have since found that my home button no longer works unless I have the usb cable connected.. very strange .. I am hoping there is a mod out there or a walk through guide that tells me how to use the search button as my home button, as I really dont ever use that one. I appreciate any help that any of you experts can give me .. cheers in advance =D

Guest Auxx Posted May 30, 2011 Report Posted May 30, 2011 As I already mentioned before, all key problems are related to bad installation of touch screen. You need to reinstall it.

Sorry mate couldn't find any related topics.. can you give me some tips to ensure this doesn't happen when I reinstall it?
Guest Auxx Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 It would be better to give your device to a professional. My friend reinstalled the screen twice, after that he went to service. The tip I can give is - reinstall and test. Repeat if needed. Your screen should not move after installation.

I actually got it replaced initially by a "profesional" and it was he who broke it, so just thought I maybe able to rectify it myself .. guess its just going back to him again and agian till its fixed .. I'll pass on the info that its a trial and error process .. thanks again =D
