The working card starts at block 4!

I have tried moving the first partition several blocks back to no avail

Will try Panasonic formatter later

I think you want fdisk -p

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System

/dev/sdb1 1 1819 14606445 c W95 FAT32 (LBA)

/dev/sdb2 1819 1943 1000000 83 Linux

/dev/sdb3 1943 1947 31058+ 82 Linux swap / Solaris

My theory is rapidly going out of the window, but because the card(s) seem to be mounted but then fail the disk check it's probably still the msdos_fsck that's being daft.

If you've got a non-working card:

* run msdos_fsck on it and report the error

* do a hex dump of the first 2048 bytes on the card and put it on pastebin

I'll see if I can figure out what's happening.

Orange San Francisco (sold by Orange Moldova in may 2011)

I use a Transcend 8GB class 6

It works perfectly (Swedish Spring RLS5, Gen2)

It worked on my HTC Rhodcdma (Sprint Touch Pro 2), HTC Kaiser (ATT Tilt), but it was not working on my HTC Raphael (ATT Fuze).

i have a zte blade TFT gen 1 with SS5. I bought a kingston 8gb sdhc class 4 card for my phone. First time i got it, it didnt work, i had to send it back, second time it didnt work, i sent it back, then they fixed it completely and now it works. I hate my memory and kingstong but atleast the thing actually works now :D

the class 4 is a bit faster than the class 2 from my experience :D

Kingston Class4 4GB not working at all, same you don't even put card.

Verbatim Class6 8GB works.
