[Q] How to disable "X messages" on lock screen? [RESOLVED]

Hi guys,

I have a very small problem coz I use ChompSMS instead of the stock Messaging app. When there is a new message for me the lock screen displays it like the screenshoot

which is nice enough, BUT! Problem is, even after I read the messages in ChompSMS, the notification stays on the lock screen until I open the stock Messaging app. ...which is not nice :P

Does anyone know how I disable this functionality?

Do you want the LG lock screen? If not, you can simply choose the stock Android lock screen in the kitchen, which I think is much better than the laggy LG lock screen.

Hi, any idea how can i get LG lockscreen back on my 2X? Right now am using the stock android lockscreen

yes same here. i'm using GoSMS. i like this app instead of the stock app msg :D but the notif mssg is so annoying on the lockscreen :D

can anybody here help me to disable this notif ??

Have you tried to delete the LG SMS app and see if it works?

yes i froze it with TB but can't send any sms/mms after that so....

I use GOsms and have frozen the stock sms-app, and both sms and mms works fine (mms actually better than stock IMO). Just remember tick the "I have uninstalled the original sms...."-box in GOsms, and you should be fine :D

And yeah, no notification on the lockscreen :D

I've frozen the "Messages 2.2.2" (or whatever the name of the message-app is in you language, in norwegian it's called "[sMS/MMS Preferanser] Meldinger 2.2.2")

ok thanks i will try to froze this one , coz i frozed Message 1.0 and can't send any sms/mms

EDIT : Perfect, just switched to GoSMS and done what MrMastodon advised, and all is great :D
