Guest Azurren Posted May 28, 2011 Report Posted May 28, 2011 Luckily if you update to official 2.2(.2) then you can just download and run the GingerBreak APK direct from your phone :P
Guest Gopu Posted May 29, 2011 Report Posted May 29, 2011 or if u know about flashing , then flash the superuser file
Guest final5k Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 Hey wizzykidd, thanks for the guide - definitely helps me for rooting!! Just wondering if you tried to flash your O2 streak 319 to 345/354 or any latest official firmware?
Guest Zardok Posted June 12, 2011 Report Posted June 12, 2011 Hey wizzykidd, thanks for the guide - definitely helps me for rooting!! Just wondering if you tried to flash your O2 streak 319 to 345/354 or any latest official firmware? Thanks buddy , This worked like a charm .. froze up on me trying to install busybox , but timed out and all is good and rooted after a reboot. Been trying other procedures on other boards with no luck and this one did it .. Cheers Mate . Zar

The gingerbreak method also has been reported to work on the Streak. This method uses an app installed on the phone. It originated as a way to root Gingerbread, but also works on Streaks with Froyo. Or you can try this method. Use Streakmod Recovery to flash the files needed for root to your phone. This is my preferred method. It has worked well for me on BB 345 and BB 351.
