Sorry if this has been asnwered (I have looked)

Trying to get VegaComb 1.5.2 patch to install, but 1.5 has no software tools in the options list.

Clockwork mod (free) as stated will not boot into recovery to flash, so how can I get this to work?

Any instructions appreciated.

Hold in the power key and you have an option to boot to recovery

Copy the patch to the SD Card - look in the apps drawer look for "Recovery" select that the vega will (usually) re-boot to Clockwork mod or,

you may need to use the power off menu, not sure which version of vegacomb the feature was introduced, holding down the power key for a few seconds brings up a menu - one option is "Recovery" you may need to use this method.

Select in Clockwork mod "install zip from sdcard" / "chosse zip from sd card"

Also you would be best to ask in the VegaComb thread if possible.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply's

No luck though..

Here is what I have done..

Flashed back to stock rom (1.10)

Software update to VegaComb 1.5.1

all ok, sluggish, but still app launcher FS on boot.

Trying to apply VegaComb 1.5.2.

CM(permissions grated) from SD does nothing, not even try to restart..

Hold power -> Menu -> Recovery... reboots, second of loading bar then back to android and open box icon.. just sticks there. A classic halt!

I have tried this several times after hard boot, still same.

Any further ideas?

I had the same with clockworkmod not going into recovery. Reinstalling clockworkmod with rommanager, then using power key - recovery fixed it.

Yes can confirm reinstalling clockwork with Rom manager fixes the issue.

I just copied the two zip files onto my SD card and then used CWM to wipe the Vega and install Vegacomb.

Sorry forgot to ask.

Can you do this through ROM manager? - wipe everything and then install main ROM (1.5.1) and patch (1.5.2) at the time?

I am assuming you do not need to rename the zip files that you downloaded

Not sure about ROM Manager. I must admit although I have that on Corvus5, I just use it as a way into CWM rather than use it to install the ROMs. I guess it is what you are used to. If you feel OK with it, have a go.

Thanks. It seems to have worked ok although i have installed 1.5.2 and it seems to have worked but device is still showing 1.5.1

Is this right and if so how can i verify that i am definately running latest version 1.5.2?

The version doesn't update with 1.5.2 - known issue. Not sure other than checking for the bug fixes that are in 1.5.2. I am back on Corvus5 just for the moment (but made a backup with CWM so can jump back to VegaComb anytime) so do not have a means of checking myself at the moment.
