Since the phone has downgraded from OLED to TFT I highly dount it will recieve an upgrade in camera quality. And in a lot of places the price of the blade is going up because it's so hard to get hold of.
Guest hedgepigdaniel Posted May 29, 2011 Report Posted May 29, 2011 The ZTE skate will be more or less a faster Blade with a better camera. The cost of all the parts add up, and in a budget phone, the camera is probably considered to be one of the less important things.
Guest Roph Posted May 29, 2011 Report Posted May 29, 2011 I wouldn't call TFT a downgrade, more a sidegrade. OLED supply dropped far below demand around the time the Blade came out; HTC switched almost all of their OLED phones to TFT also. As for the camera, you can get nicer looking shots if you use a camera app other than the stock andriod "camera" app. I can't sing the praises of lgcamera enough, it exposes many more settings that you can fiddle with. It will also let you shoot 800x480, H.264/AAC/MP4 video, somewhere between youtube's 480p and 720p quality. Here are a few shots I've taken with lgcamera: (Much better control over saturation) (this one was very early in the morning while it was still pretty dark, using the longest exposure / night compensation possible)
Guest Roph Posted May 29, 2011 Report Posted May 29, 2011 Free, from what I can tell there's no difference between the two, just the developer is giving you the option to contribute. The next time I feel like paying for an app, I most likely will be buying lgcamera pro. :D

I have tried those pretty much but not really sure which settings to use! (Your lgcamera's video-capture setting were excellent btw, thanks!)
