Saving movies to my new Vega

Hi

Could someone advise please???

I've just bought my new Vega and have already flashed it to ROM8 but would like some guidance of how to load and save movies as I'm going on holiday with a 2 year old and would like to keep her entertained!!!!

I use a program called DamnVid. There's a portable version on the net as well if you do a search on google.

This pc software allows you to select dvd files (assuming you have already ripped a DVD, there are guides on the internet for this), and other formats as well.

You then select a conversion profile (e.g. ipod or psp should work ok, but you can increase the resolution and bitrate to suit), and it'll convert the movie into a format suitable for mobile devices. You then transfer the converted file to your phone and it'll play on whatever video player you wish.

You'll need a fair amount of sdcard storage for full movies though, but you can experiment with the profiles/settings to tradeoff quality/storage.
