Battery Usage only shows Android System

Hello all,

I'm new to this forum. I have a question about my girlfriend's Acer Liquid E.

It runs a stock Android 2.2 rom.

She thought its battery usage was huge. So she installed Battery Doctor (https://market.android.com/details?id=net.lepeng.batterydoctor&feature=search_result). She killed quite some tasks. But the phone started only to run slower and acting weird. She uninstalled the app. Now it sill acts weird and slow from time to time and the Settings -> About Phone -> Battery Usage looks suspicious now. In stead of showing

Android System

Android OS

Display

Wifi

etc. with all percentages it now ONLY shows Android System 100%. No matter what apps are running and when wifi, etc is still on. Even after turning off phone and removing the battery for a while.

Hopefully there is a solution to this weird behaviour other than resetting to factory defaults?

All help appreciated!! Thx!

try to disable proximity sensor in advanced phone call settings. You will not see android system as top battery drainer.

Perhaps this is not the fix as every app that uses prox sensor will cause this issue.

See my other thread about prox sensor problems on acer based roms, it could be fixed using libraries from acer's 2.1 rom. In this way prox sensor will be disabled after usage.
