Guest CrystalLettuce Posted May 30, 2011 Report Posted May 30, 2011 Running SS5 and it's not working out for me so I'd like to try CM7. I'm not quite sure how to safely do this upgrade though, and everything I need to do to save my apps and settings and carry them over.
Guest KACE_231 Posted May 30, 2011 Report Posted May 30, 2011 http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...n2-tpt-upgrade/ You cant save apps/settings, can save texts. Try titanium backup
Guest CrystalLettuce Posted May 30, 2011 Report Posted May 30, 2011 So I'll have to reinstall everything :/ That's a bit of a nightmare since Android market shows stuff up as installed when it gets deleted. Also how do any of the CM distros have Wifi tethering etc. enabled by default? Is it possible to enable it after install, I don't have to wipe my phone all over again?
Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted May 30, 2011 Report Posted May 30, 2011 Yes use titanium if you want. But to be honest I don't see much different in using it and not wiping data - titanium is just restoring old data. However for the "ROM related apps" you would need to wipe data... Anyhow just use titanium backup to avoid loosing things. And use a TPT.
