anyone liked my idea?

Siddhesh21 just gave me an inspiration for an idea....Smart Theme Manager....for example "Time Smart" or "location Smart"....I mean for example when its night the theme manager changes everything to a night theme and vice versa...or location smart is when for example you enter home the theme changes to home and your wife's picture goes on the background and when you go to your girfriend's house, your girlfriend's picture would be selected as wallpaper...lol

I think it is cool and you wouldnt get bored by the same theme...everytime to unlock your phone there is a new look...

and I dont think its that hard to do...we have the miui theme manager so it shouldnt be hard to make it read the time and location and does something automatically in correspondece...

I just had another idea. Perhaps the homescreen could scroll on two axes, like a web browser, and snap to the grid once your finger lifts. So your screens could be in a grid. Something like dxTop from market. Except not locked into a + formation.

Lockscreen...

Sorry kr3g3r, I used your screenshot of lockscreen. You are one of us and I felt like this is the best out there. I hope you dont mind. If there is a problem , tell me, i will delete them... btw thnx

I am not a good designer. I learned photoshop few years back but now i almost forgot everything.I was not able to combine two layers, so at last decided to make this in powerpoint.

On topic:- [READ THIS OTHERWISE U WONT UNDERSTAND ANYTHING]

We can use menu button , on LS ,[1st picture] which we will swipe upwards to open lockscreen menu. It will look somewhat like in picture 2. Maybe we can add timescape like Ui and can add more layers for Toggle Settings or etc etc tooo ...[so thats why I used background with 3 layers just for rough idea]

By clicking any of those icon , it will pop-up a window. The idea i mentioned few posts back. The pop up window will show calculator[you can use it on LS itself] , small music widget , recent messages , recent emails. Anyhow everyone need privacy on LS , so for messages or FB , we can use other then the normal lock code like in last image , that will unlock not the Lockscreen but the pop up window only...

We can add few toggle settings also , like profile changer , BT , wifi , airplane mode. It will be useful ,e.g... when we are going to enter in college and suddenly we find that we forgot to switch to silent mode. So just few clicks on LS itself and we are done.

If we feel like any of this should not be changed or seen by any other person on LS , we can put lock code for that item.

By pressing the menu button again, everything will be closed..

but main thing is we wont be able to change the whole theme, as it will need quite more CPU in background, and it's not practical if it will automatically change the whole theme again and again... finally it will result in battery drain...

What we can do is , just change few noticeable parts like - wallpapers, notification bar color , and few minor things that dont need lot of processing in background... Even this is big job for x10 [i think it would have been quad core to do what you mentioned, but sadly it's not :D]

maybe home page shifting animation could be like ebook like - turning the page style. or even just a black screen with stars or something and each star is a different page and when you press on it you sort of zoom space travel style through to that page.... i wish i could explain in picture what i mean!

Trip what i think is that your hacks like the screen hack and bravia engine hack and may be in the future the audio hacks will make your Roms the best and i think you should implement these first in your Rom or OS and what more could people ask if a phone has a eye candy UI like Iphone , so many apps like android and highly customizable ui ( like customizable dial pad and sms app in which background can be changed , awsome camera and connectivity i think if ur able to build such a rom which i already have done and proved i think ur os will beat the ios any day

we can change the background in sms app in miui too, and dial pad can be customisable in themes.

Camera needs flash and all the feature that sony gave, even more than sony gave us, so no one will ever like to go back to stock.

If Trip builds an awesome then, Who knows, Trip will be working with Google, and we users will me more than satisfied cuz there will always be new in our phones. :-)

New UI + Launcher + Lockscreen.

I made up some compact UI cuz last time many of you did not like my GAIA concept. :(

Very sure that u gonna like this one, if not, I WILL MAKE SOME OTHER AND MORE :D

Here is the Plain UI of the Launcher, containing all the basic functions like all Launchers, the Notification bar etc.....

At the bottom it is divided into 3 parts, a box in the middle, favourite apps on the left side of the box, and home icon with one of ur extremely fav app. :D

Left side is scrollable, u can view all ur apps by scrolling it to left. If U want to open a app then just drag the app to the box in the middle and the box will work as shown in following images......

Then the messaging app which will contain two style, one is in plates view and the other one in clouds view. My clouds ain't good. it will look nice when a designer will make them.

A Multitasking feature. while an app open, if u wish to switch to other app then tap and hold at the top of the screen to open the switch to app option and drag towards left or right to open ur desired running app..

then the lockscreen, it will contain date at the right top corner, time on the left top corner,then the music keys, then the three important functions like the lock, phone dialer to the left of the clock, and sms app to the right of the lock.

Three more features I would love to see are the 1) Brightness , 2) Vibration , 3) Volume.

this is the very simple UI that I made.

One thing in the lockscreen , I would like to see the CAMERA shortcut cuz if U need to take a Quick Pic then it can be Very Very useful.

Yea man your right...I just realized it also need a reboot for all changes...so not possible the way I said it but could be possible for the small changes you mentioned

I support the ps3 UI style idea. Each spline would basically a folder, and the WP could scroll just like it usually does.

PRoblem would be making a matching lockscreen and theme for the rest of the phone.

Just A Suggestion! Maybe Trip Can Work With the TAT home or Kite Ui developers And Can Port Them Into our Lovely X10's this can be for the First Step, Then we can make a Customized UI!.

-TAT replaces ur phone with a widget

-kitUI is too naked

-sentio replaces ur phone with a filebrowser

-ps3 UI is unoriginal since it's already invented by someone else

-defy7 is kinda overkill, too much sliding and scrolling (like if ur at the far right but u need something on the far left, scrollscrollscrollscroll..)

-breath UI was, yeah.. childish. just like the other 3D world

But if these worlds would clash together with some transparacy, gradiants and mattes we might get somewhere :D

When it's summer vacation and I get some more free time and a better laptop, Ill try to help out myself aswell.

Anyone can do this tho, its not a ui, its just some random wallpapers and few apps being used to resize things.
