Guest CrystalLettuce Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 I was going to go for CM7 but it still has a lot of bugs. I really wanted to use Tethering - USB tethering and wifi tethering seem not to work with it. Does Bluetooth tethering work? Is it possible to enable Wifi tethering? Is it really worth installing CM7 if you want some level of stability? Don't want it to freeze when I need my alarm to get me up in the morning!
Guest CrystalLettuce Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 Trying the FLB rom. awesome loading screen.
Guest Deepeh Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 I started using CM7 early on (single digit nightlys) stopped for a long while, came back around nightly 70 something and I've found it to be a great daily driver. Battery life is vastly improved and I'm easily going days without a forced reboot and only rebooting when I flash another nightly. I'm currently on nightly 84 and have popped the GF on to the same build. Wifi tether works, bluetooth works :D I wouldn't rely on a phone to ever wake you up, I'd acquire a cheap alarm clock from somewhere... especially if being late is a serious risk to your employment! Wifi tether can be toggled from the power management widget! The widget can be customised with just about every other toggle you can imagine. If I were you I'd make nandroid backups and try all the ROM's out :D
Guest k0zmic Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 It's worth giving CM7 a go. That bug was fixed for nearly everyone a while ago. For rock solid stability go for SS RLS5.
