Difficulty CyanogenMod-7-RC4 > CyanogenMod-7.0.3

I currently have CyanogenMod 7 RC4 on my Gen1 Orange San Francisco. I have tried to update to CyanogenMod 7.0.3, but after I install it I always end up in a never ending loop of the green android logo, then a black screen, green android, etc. I have tried wiping the data/cache partitions, tried using Rom Manager and installing it manually through Clockworkmod. Help, please?

Recent Cyanogen is for Gen2 only. Upgrade the phone to Gen2 or run Kallt_Kaffe's converter after flashing Cyanogen. See the wiki or read the forum for details.

You mean "Wipe data/factory reset" in ClockworkMod? Because I already did that. BTW, I am using ClockWorkMod v3.0.1.4, none of the newer versions seem to work for me, at least from Rom Manager

EDIT: I tried 7.0.2 as well, is that Gen2 only?

Yes it is. It changed to Gen 2 only shortly after 7.0.0 I think, 7.0.1 at the very latest. You can convert to Gen 2 by following this guide: http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...n2-tpt-upgrade/

OK, I just used the CM 7.0.3 TPT and it boots up fine now. Thanks for all the help!

you only unzip and bootup with three buttons held, no serious risk if.fully charged and you checked MD5 :D
