Guest NateDawg27 Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 (edited) Hi, I'm new to Android/fancy telephones/unlocking telephones! I got an unlock code, stuck my three sim in and the box didn't come up so i stuck my O2 sim in and the box came up, unlock successful. So "Great" i thought, as i switched it off and took the O2 out... Put my three sim in and apparently there isn't a sim in there. "No Sim" it cries. When i try auto selecting a network or selecting three it says "Sim card won't register with network". At first it accepted the O2 sim but now it won't even accept my orange one. I have tried the handy hint in one thread that says to layer the sim with tape but to no avail. You wouldn't believe how grateful i would be for some help! Edited June 1, 2011 by NateDawg27

Guest NateDawg27 Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 Yeah, 3g is turned on. This morning it's registering the sim card but got no signal and no 3g but that just might be because of where i live. I've never had a problem on my older phone though. When i go to work today, I'll be going into an area i usually get full bars so I'll see if that makes a difference. It might just be a matter of having to get it up to full signal first.

On my first Blade I had an issue that I'd only get signal (on any network, tried with Orange, O2 and Three) in areas of really high signal strength - and even then I'd struggle to get one bar. Turns out it was a hardware fault - I think the antenna for the phone radio hadn't been attached properly. In the worst case take it back and get em to replace it :D
Guest simonsays1 Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 On my first Blade I had similar problems with the phone saying there is no sim card fitted. It turned out that I had accidentally bent one of the sim card gold contact pins. 2 Minutes work with a small screwdriver gently bending the pin the right way and my blade has been fine ever since. Take care though not to bend the pin too much !
Guest NateDawg27 Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 Problem is solved. I've got full signal now and sorted out my internet settings! WIN!
