Guest spacecadetuk Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 Hi all, whats CM7 like compared to corvus 5? is flash and market working in cm7 whats better at moment out of the 2 roms cheers gazmon I'm going to be as much help here as a chocolate fire-guard and say it's down to personal preference, i've used both and prefer corvus5 even more so now there is a new update to make it even better but a lot of people prefer cm7, as i say personal preference and yes flash and market works in cm7. My advice is to just try them both they don't take long to install and it's the only way to find out which suits you best. If flash isn't a necessity i'd also check out vegacomb the latest build is rock solid and it runs pretty well for a Beta just no flash. They are all free so it's only going to cost a bit of time to try them all and see which you like the most for what you use your slab for.
Guest le_lutin Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 I would personally love a combination of CM7 and corvus5. I prefer the navigation bar on the bottom of the screen, which is how it is in cm7, but I prefer the speed and stability of corvus5.

I wonder if we could just use the Corvus5 Kernel and flash it over the CM7 Rom. Might give a bit of a performance increase...
Guest warriorscot Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 CM7 is pretty good and its gets nightly updates it improves significantly week by week.

When I play my own home recorded videos they play with lots of interference noise and odd colour splashes on the screen which aren't there when I play on stock or corvus5, so I assumed as it is on vegacomb and cm7 it might relate to hardware acceleration, but no real idea :D

I use Rockplayer

I use Rockplayer yes i have rockplayer. moboplayer and i have no probs with avi files either but the only time i can play my own files ,and i think they are hd recorded , is with any player on corvus5, modaco r8 and stock. CM7 and vegacomb give the same poor playback :D
