Guest Lister Of Smeg Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 Hi Guys, Jus wondered, if anyone knows if there is any kinda CallerID apps, that say/lists the names of callers/companies in the UK as they dial you...?? I know a few exist, but they are mainly based around USA/Canada, and not or very limited UK... Would be really sweet to find summit like this, the more details it finds the better.... Also Any of you who had/come from the iPhone background, maybe aware of an App called iBlackList for the JB. I know there are some Blacklist Apps out there, but none seem to do it so well as the iPhone one, esp when it sends the caller an Engaged tone back :D Cheers, Lister
Guest Swimmerboy Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 Don't know of one for the UK I'm afraid, but as for... Any of you who had/come from the iPhone background, maybe aware of an App called iBlackList for the JB. I know there are some Blacklist Apps out there, but none seem to do it so well as the iPhone one, esp when it sends the caller an Engaged tone back :D If you're on CM7, or some of the Froyos you can go to "Settings -> Call settings -> Blacklist" Anyone in this list will be passed straight to answerphone without ringing the phone.
Guest Lister Of Smeg Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 Hi SwimmerBoy, And thanks for replying to my post... yes, I have looked at that setting within CM7, and it works extremely well... when ya call from a blocked number it kills it dead asap. What I was looking for is summit that can send an Engaged tone back, like iBlackList does on iPhone, then it dont look so rude and that ya on the phone all the time :D LOL And guys, cant believe there is no CallerID/Lookup apps that work in the UK...? Does summit like that not exist yet in the Market...? so annoying as there are loads for the USA... :D lol Cheers, Lister
Guest wbaw Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 apparently they're illegal :D http://www.techeye.net/mobile/useful-calle...nned-in-britain

What a shame, useful utility banned in UK :D Although I think that app is still available apparently, jus extremely cutdown :o Thanks for letting me know, as I dont think I even saw this one before until now, and in its cutdown form looks good... Thanks, Lister
