Problem with battery icon and boot-up while charging.

hi guys,

come across a couple of problems that i cant find an answer to and its driving me mad :D

Running stock rom with orange rubbish removed.

Had phone from first release and never had any issues until recently.

2 days ago i installed juice defender which seems to work really well. I also installed gauge battery widget at the same time. Problem is since doing so my battery icon in the status bar has turned from green to black and now has a question mark in it and no longer has any visible indication to how much charge is left.

My other problem is that when the phone is switched off if you plug the charger in the phone turns itself back on which, never use to happen. so now i cant charge the phone while its turned off.

Have removed the two apps which may or may not have caused this to happen but both problems still exist. Have also tried re-starts and battery pulls to no avail.

Not found this problem in the forums or on google so any and all advice is more than welcome. I can live without battery icon and use third party app instead but i do like to have the phone off while charging :D
