hi, i recently bought a san francisco(last friday) and im very dissapointed with the battery life on it. it lasts 4 hours on the stock rom and about 2-3 on the custom rom's i have tried.

this is not good.

lol.

anywaaaaay,taking it back to the orange shop tomorrow, and plus my down volume key is really hard to press.

do you think they will give me a refund? thanks :D

yer that is really crap.

even if you had all the radios working flat out (making a call, whilst downloading something) and working the cpu to 100% full capacity (with overclocking) and with the screen of full brightness. it should last just over 4 hours.

something must be wrong. either the battery or the phone. take it back. they will replace.

mine lasts 2 days. and im on cm7 (which is known for crap battery life) and i play many games as well as normal useage (30 texts, 20mins on calls and an hour of web browsing each day). on froyo you should get 3-4 days on such usage.

Make sure you return it back to stock without root, a custom splash image, bootanimation or non-stock recovery :D

Did you charge it to maximum capacity when you first got it. All rechargeable batteries come half-full as retail...

Pressuming the phone is what 6 days old, and they have recieved bad battery life on multiple roms they have run through a few charge cycles.

Awkward moment when you see they have a blackberry curve :D

I'll assume that is going to be a reason to hate battery life: as the curve isn't (really) a smartphone, In turns of ui and flexibility/lack of anything cpu intensive - the fact It doesn't require much processing power.

To be honest I don't think of much of blackberry's they are pretty much the same as when they first came out!

But people get them to follow the "trend"

Anyhow you are right the amount of battery you got is unacceptable despite that ^little whine^ - and should be replaced.

Unless you were doing something redicoulously mad like overclock and putting the min up with wifi bluetooth gps and mobile data on with the screen on full brightness with a live wallpaper and opening the gallery before playing an intensive game for hour hours until the battery died :D

thanks guys! i have put the stock firmware(rom) back on, and the boot images are the little android and the orange logo, and some fancy orange zooming orange sparky thing :L

and yeah about the curve :D i have had it for ages now. upgrading to iphone 4 on friday :D

by the way wifi,gps,brightness was down to about 50% and the mobile network was on.

i was running flb-froyo something, then cyanogenmod7. i found cyanogen to be amazing on battery but it was really laggy on mine :(

Just make sure you cant boot into a non-stock (clockworkmod recovery)

Then you should be all set to go :D

And your not making it better for your self saying you are going to go to an iPhone 4 - on an android forum :D
