Guest thirtytwodave Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 (edited) hello i find the acer a nice phone first thing i would do is go here http://android.modaco.com/content/acer-liq...easy-installer/ this will install a custom recovery image which you will need to root also VERY IMPORTANT MAKE A BACK UP OF YOU PHONE !!! i have the same phone as you didn't back it up and no i can't go back to stock to do this you will need to shut off your phone after reboot from installing the custom recovery then hold the volume down and camera buttons and push power untill it vibrates 2-3 times then it will boot into recovery you can root and back up their Now there are a lot of talented devs here and some really cool custom roms but because they are custom sometimes things don't work after i put a custom rom in mine leds no longer work so if you like that just customize your stock rom you can download and install different launchers ring/sms tones wall papers and some flashable themes you will also want a file explorer both for the phone and for the computer now i use PC-Suite for Android you can get it here http://www.pandaapp.com/ (if this is not allowed please delete) and you can find lots on Market as well so its up to you what you want to do just remember there are plus and minus's to installing a custom rom good luck and have fun Also you may want to go into your sd card to X:\nandroid\recovery and copy the file and put it somewhere safe as its your original back up you can rename it as well it doesn't affect recovery if needed Edited June 2, 2011 by thirtytwodave
