Guest ikerolas Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 Hey. So, I started with 2.1 branded by Telcel, baseband .46, x10a. I think the firmware was 2.0.A.0.504 (not sure) I wanted to get this Gingerbread ROM by TripNRaVeR http://android.modaco.com/content/sony-eri...ngerbread-fast/ So I followed instructions. Backed everything up using Titaniumbackup. Got the flashtool (V 0.2.9.1) and proceeded to get the .67 BB. Flashing went fine, but upon reboot my phone was in an endless starting loop. So I changed to .61, and to .65, .52, .54, and then i went back to .46... kept looping. In a desperate move, I just guessed and used BB .55. It worked. My phone started ok, I rooted it, asked root permits, cleaned it, optimized it, installed xrecovery and all cool. So I went on and rebooted and launched xrecovery. Followed the instructions in the post I mentioned: Reboot your phone and boot into XRecovery. Full Wipe. Partition Tools => Format /system Partition Tools => Format /data Partition Tools => Format cache Advanced Options => Wipe Delvik Cache Advanced Options => Wipe Battery Stats Then I realized I didn't have the ROM's .zip on my phone, since I thought it was flashed ito it to, like the .ftf s from the BBs So I chose reboot, and now I'm in the sony ericsson boot screen, can't access xrecovery. I CAN flash, at least flashtool says everything went ok. I only have the option of flashing though, no rooting or anything else. I retried flashing every BB, I tried flashing some stock 2.1 for 10a... but everything to no avail. SEUS recognizes the phone, but says it has the latest software. I would really appreciate your help
Guest Reintjee Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 (edited) Hi, You can download Flashtool from XDA (I'm sorry trip) + a stock rom. Flash it, root it with the same Flashtool, put xRecovery on your phone with Flashtool and youre ready to flash zips again! Edited June 2, 2011 by Reintjee
Guest Cyberman_NI Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 (edited) If you have the Sony software on your PC open it up to the update section. Turn you phone right off and then while holding in the back button plug the micro usb into the phone and it should give you a small hyperlink that says Repair. Clicking it should put the phone back to factory settings and you can then re-root it from there. Edited June 2, 2011 by Cyberman_NI

Get it? He tried it but it didnt work. He just has to found a stock .ftf rom to flash with flashtool and it's done. Edited June 2, 2011 by Reintjee

BB & latest stock Rom. Flashed w. Flashtool and started again. Hope this helps.
Guest Neel007 Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 Download the Original firmware form XDA. Put it into "firmwares' folder like u did for flashing BB. Flash it. Now you are on stock again. Use superoneclick[or any other] to root your phone.install busybox. then install Xrecovery 0.3 [ not 1.0 ] .... dont forget to put .zip in your SD this time...LOL

Guest ikerolas Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 Ok guys I tried many other stock 2.1's and eventually one worked. Now I was able to change the BB to .61 and I'm running TripNMiUI Iris 1.5.5 Froyo with no apparent problems. Will try the TripNMiUI 0.3.0 Iris Gingerbread I originally wanted. Thanks for the help, really!

Nope, that was in the older versions of SEUS. It is now checking some system files against each other to see if they match other system files. If not it wont give you the option to install again.
