Achieve Optimal Graphical Performance on 2.2?

I keep hearing that 2.3 CM7 offers a huge boost to gaming performance on the Blade, but sadly I recently swapped back to 2.2 due to massive battery drains on the stable version..

Is there anyway I could optimize or change a few settings to achieve a similar amount of performance?

The ROM I'm using is Swedish Spring Gen2.

Enable HW Acceleration if you haven't already.

Overclock your blade to highest stable. IDK does changing vm heapsize to 48 help.
