Problems with unlocking for Apps

Hi!

I'm new to all this stuff so I apologise in advance if i say something i shouldn't or whatever.

Yesterday I unlocked my phone so i could put stuff like Doom and Remote control on it. :)

However since then I've had a few problems :? and was wondering if anyone else who's done this or knows about it could help me.

1. I can't text!!! :cry: In the Inbox when i press New it doesn't do anything. I can recieve fine but I can't even compose now.

2. Orange Update doesn't work. It says that I need to be on Orange to have access! At first I thought I'd set up GPRS wrong but I CAN connect to Orange Backup and the internet! Very strange

A friend of mine also has an SPV (actually he was going to unlockhis today but he's having second thoughts now...) and I copied as many settings (in data connections) as I could although i can't seem to set one up for Orange MMS. Is this the problem? If so, how do I get around it?

If anyone can help or knows where to get info to help me please let me know!!!

i had simmler turn off the phone take the battey off and take out you sim card and wait for 5min when you put evey thing back and turn it on it boots fine and works ok :)

Hi, thanks for your post. :)

I have tried this, left the phone for 10 mins but still can't text.

I'm trying again now, i'll leave it for an hour or so (just to make sure!) before booting back up.

Anyone else had this problem?!?!

Failing that, anyone know what the settings should be?

I'm a bit wary of phoning Orange about it in case they ask what i did to it!! :oops:
