New POV Mobii confused!

Heya folks... I been sitting here reading thru this site for a few days, paid to get access to the modded roms before my tablet even got here just to be prepared.

Now I got this shiny thing in front of me, and I am cold sweating. I have the Pov Mobii 10" with the 3g built in. I am very afraid of choosing the wrong thing and gimping

my 3g or worse. As I see it theres a bunch of mods to use.. the stock Modaco one, the corvus, and this vegacomb. From what I can tell Vegacomb is not really finished,

So my assumption was to use the corvus one. I DL'd it and unpacked it, I unpacked also the USB drivers as instructed.

I then proceeded to do the little hold back - hold power - etc. and got an APX device in my Device Manager... When I pointed it at the drivers Windows 7x64 said it didnt find any drivers.

Ok.. I read on a bit.. ended up on a link http://android.modaco.com/content/advent-v...-wrong-win7-64/

But now theres a bunch of things I dont get.

"You will know when you have the wrong drivers installed when you have (Ok.this line seems to say "you will know you have wrong drivers when...", and then lists conditions that will tell me i have wrong drivers. I assume I have wrong drivers as windows wont accept them. Very confused here...)

Turned debugging on on the Vega (Settings->Applications->Development->USB Debugging ticked)

You have the device connected via USB (Done this)

You have downloaded Pauls ROM and unzipped it, opened a command prompt at that directory (Done this)

added 23/12/10 you have copied adb-windows.exe to adb.exe (Do we mean rename or a Dos Binary copy? ((Which I know exists but forget how to do exactly))

You see the following (or something mentioning server started) at the command prompt (I will stop here as I dont think I am even in the right place at this point)

It goes on now to explain how to find the USB device etc but mine is not at all in this grouping.. mine is the APX and its under other devices and not at all like its bieng shows anywhere further down.

Help! My brain is leaking fluids on the table hehe...

Can someone point me in the right direction as I am beginning to think this might not even be the right software for this device. Yesterday I was totaly sure and now nothing is matching anywhere and I am totally confused.

Much thanks in advance to anyone who has the time and patience to help me out.

Edited after to add some more information if its needed:

Model: TAB-TEGRA-10-1

Android ver 2.2

EC Ver 1.9.0

Kernel Ver: 2.6.32.9_P10_v1.10_20110301_POV

Build Number: harmony-eng 2.2 FRF91 20110222

So What I am really asking is #1 which of thse FWs to use now, Pauls, the Corvus or the Vegacomb, and I could really use some help with these USB drivers no matter which one it is. Also do I need to do this Clockwork Mod?

Also I do not yet have a MicroSD in the device as it has not arrived as of yet. Can I still do one of these updates on the unit or do I have to wait untill it arrives?

Hi you probably have seen this already but simonta wrote two excellent automated driver installers, gaudily and Audi which seem to have saved a lot of people a lot of trouble. As for the rom I will make it even more confusing as beegee1962 compiled a rom especially for your device with 3g as the Vega doesn't have this so that may be your best bet, just search for beegee. Good luck

I finally got it sorted with Audi and this link:

Btw POV Mobii owners HERE is a thread that will help you if you have the same issues as me.

Basically the POV ROM doesnt allow the USB host switcher thingy by default, you will HAVE to install the Advent Vega Stock ROM first. THEN you can apply the drivers.

Off I go to install BeeGees rom! (Thanks for the tip btw on the BeeGee ROM!)

yeay!
