2.2 on liquid E freezes

i have a Liquid E. And if i put anything custom or stock rom of 2.2 as soon as i hit the back key the phone freezes its still showing connected when i do a adb devices check now i have played the email game with acer but got no where. All they keep telling me is do a factory reset and i tell them their is no factory settings its a custom rom anyway to fix this i have tried the rogers restore thread (as my phone was rogers branded ). Anything 2.2.1 or above works

Also is their a file i can edit or replace so i can make my ring repeat its self it seems anything 2.3 and up only rings once
