Hi, I have the liquid e, I am running the stock base rom (froyo andriod 2.2) and I flashed CM 7.1 83 nightly over top and what a difference the phone is really fast now, did you update to the roger's official android 2.2 update? if not then do that first, install malez recovery perform a nadroid backup (VERY IMPORTANT, if you ever need to send in your phone for repairs you will need to restore the backup to return your phone to default and not void your warranty) and boot into recovery (vol down + camera + power) , partition your sd card, goto wipe menu and wipe all, enable usb mode, copy cm 7.1 nightly onto your root directory on the sd card with the darktremor scripts, and flash cm7.1_liquid_83.zip no sign check then flash the Darktremor script for app2sd+ no sign check, and reboot and you'll have a nice fast stable liquid e Edited June 6, 2011 by ravendagrey

Hi welcome to the Liquid community Wipe all does not affect your rogers settings, one must wipe before each flash(except for patches of ROMs) to get a clean install. Your Rogers settings should restore normally after your first boot after flash (first boo is long and often also includes some automatic reboot) An SD partition is done after installing Malez recovery and is one of 2 or 3 ways of expanding memory to your phone(this method was nessesary early in the Liquid DEV days (cupcake and eclair)). If you do not have low memory issues from installing many many apps on your phone then its not necessarry. Creating a partition wipes your SD card so back it's contents up first. hope this helps

Chewy is right you can skip the partition step, but if you have a big enough memory card it'll help, to partition the card goto the partition menu, and click on partition sd, it will ask you for swap size and ext2 size, so if you had an 8 gb memory card I would do a 256mb swap and 512mb ext2 partition or if you had a 16gb or 32gb memory card i would do a 512mb swap and 1gb ext2, so what a ext2 partition does is pretty much uses a portion of your memory card to add to your internal memory so you will have more space for your apps, I've run out a few times (the liquid e has 512mb) hope this helps.

Guest ravendagrey Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 then for sure skip the partition step until you get the 32gb, your gonna notice a huge difference going to gingerbread, it also includes an overclocking kernal so you can tweak it out and push it faster, most people have it stable between 921 and 998mhz I know mine can do 998mhz but I usally keep it stock to save some battery life.

When ever I set the Swap to a given amount, that is how much memory it shows when it is mounted to CP :/ Dont have any troubles with the way I do it. and liquid e only has 200mb of internal storage... 512mb of RAM :D
