[ROM][GEN2] CyanogenMod Sunshine v2 (Android 2.3.4)

This ROM is based on CyanogenMod7 and Tejo Sunshine 2.3. Replaced some files from Tejo Sunshine with files from CM7 nightly88. So this is basically CyanogenMod n85 stripped of all CyanogenMod and some patches from CyanogenMod n88. Very vanilla-like experience.

Changes:

-kernel from CM7n88

-slightly modified build.prop from CM7

-libaudio.so patched

-latest wifi drivers

-camcorder fix, shoots 640x480 video (still shots seem still a bit dark?)

-proximity sensor fixed in v2! works as in n88

-pinch-zoom in gallery works as in n85

-includes also gingerbread CRT screen off animation

Apps:

-Gingerbread Launcher

-Basic google apps included

-Titanium Backup

-No-frills CPU control

-Theme Chooser

-Filer from 2.2

-Removed plenty of apps (including ADW Launcher EX etc, left nothing dodgy)

Installation:

Take nandroid backup of your current system. Perform complete wipe (wipe cache, wipe data/factory reset). Flash with ClockWorkMod 3.x.x.x. No need for wipe updating from CyanogenMod-Sunshine-v1.

Notes:

Expect a GPS related freeze/boot on first boot, performs normally after that. ROMs size is ~132mb, so fits more than well in 138mb /system layout.

First and all to CyanogenMod Team for all your hard work. Also to Sapo A5 Team for stripping CyanogenMod out of CyanogenMod, even though you are not willing to give credits to the CM7 Team.

Not quite sure, needs more testing. I've tested it autobrightness off and getting some mixed behavior. Sometimes screen stays on during calls far too long and sometimes it turns off normally. Moving it away or back to ear doesn't seem to do anything. So I'd say no, not atleast as it should.

And Tejo Sunshine is made by some portuguese dudes and it is based on CM and they don't give any credit to CM team. They just claim that it is build from AOSP but that is just bs afaik.

i dunno about nightlys but before this i have used CM 7.0.3... accelometer is working good for games, quadrant shows a better score, all in all its better then 7.0.3 :D i miss cyanogenmod's settings a little but no biggy :D

The ROM name scheme uses the country of the baserom in their name usually. Like Japanese Jellyfish (jap 2.2 rom as base), Swedish Spring (swedish 2.2 rom as base), etc.

This has Tejo Sunshine as the baserom which is apparently portugese, so calling the rom "Portugese Thieves" wouldn't be too far off the usual namescheme (not all actually), especially not if they really stole some of it from CM.

The very core (=kernel) might be their own build from ZTE source, but rest of the ROM... If you exclude /system/app you can md5 match 99% of rest of the files to CM7. So I think it's safe to say it wasn't built from AOSP. And including apps that actually cost, what's the word - stealing. They did lovely job doing what they did, would it have been so difficult to credit CM7 team.

Ok something related to ROM.

I see grid lines while playing videos from apps, youtube, from SD card. Anyone else experienced this?

It only came along when playing videos on this ROM. I was before on CM7 N88 and din't have the issue.

I have cleared everything before flash, and also done so after re-flash! This grid only shows up while playing full screen videos.

And I didn't know that portuguese people are so oversensitive.

But you can't really say that I was wrong 'cause Tejo Sunshine includes ADW Ex and that is kinda piracy(=stealing), 'cause it is not free launcher (it costs 2,30 €).
