Guest billglw Posted June 4, 2011 Report Posted June 4, 2011 Hi All I have managed to update my Vega with the MoDaCo ROM and I'm very pleased with it's performance to date. One small issue I have found is that I cant get the Vega to read SD/SDHC Cards using a USB Card reader. Not even the latest versions of these that support SDXC seem to be recognised by the Vega. Has anyone found any way to solve this? (It would be very handy for me as I keep a lot of music and photos on SD Cards.

Guest billglw Posted June 5, 2011 Report Posted June 5, 2011 There are a few examples of readers in this topic :D Thanks for the information. Good luck as I already have a Sandisk MicroMate Card Reader and have tested it in the Vega. Works 100% :D Perfect.
Guest billglw Posted June 12, 2011 Report Posted June 12, 2011 (edited) Sorry to bump this again guys but I have retried my Sandisc MicroMate card reader today and no sign of it being recognised. USB sticks are being recognised OK. Any ideas as to what could have changed? I have not updated any of the firmware. Update: I think I may have found the answer. When you initally insert an SD card or any memory device to the Vega it installs two files (Android_Secure and LOST.DIR). I deleted these on my camera card as I thought they were just junk files but they seem to be used by the Vega to build the directory. I noticed the Micromate light was illuminated but without these tow files the Vega seems blind to the data. Can someone confirm my suspicions? Edited June 12, 2011 by billglw
