Guest AJ_81 Posted June 4, 2011 Report Posted June 4, 2011 Hi, sorry if this has been asked before, although I've done a couple of searches on call quality and water damage. My girlfriend's blade (an OLED orange san francisco running the stock rom) was dropped in a cup of tea a couple of weeks ago. We dried it out and it works, but with a couple of problems. Main problem - call quality is now poor. My girlfriend describes it as people who she talks to sounding like they are underwater. It's fine when she listens to mp3 through the phone so I guess that it's not a speaker issue. Other issues - phone turns itself off occasionally. To be honest I think she can live with this. Has anyone experienced similar call quality problems and do they know of any possible fixes? Thanks for your help. If we can't improve it I think we'll sell on ebay for spares and buy another.
Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted June 4, 2011 Report Posted June 4, 2011 The turning off is likely to be another issue...but Idk, possible some more moisture somewhere that short circuits it or something. The call thing, you might want to *hit* the phone, as people have said its often due to loose crumbs inside the speaker etc, you need to get them out. So your speaker could still be a bit damp, I suppose, you may need to take it apart and have a look

Give the speaker a good blow out and it should sort it out, its usually moister on the speaker but i'd try strip the phone down as much as possible and dry it out a bit more. Hope this helps
