Guest dvdcompare Posted June 5, 2011 Report Posted June 5, 2011 I have a weird problem where my memory card can't play some of my videos. For example if a video is on the internal memory and I then use the cut and paste feature within the tablet to move it over to the micro SD card the video will then not play back. It says video cannot be played. If I then move it back to internal memory the file no longer works. Also when the tablet is connected to the pc the memory card doesn't always show. Is the memory card faulty? Thanks.
Guest stuntdouble Posted June 5, 2011 Report Posted June 5, 2011 How large are the files you are trying to play?

Guest dvdcompare Posted June 5, 2011 Report Posted June 5, 2011 Yes from ebay but a uk seller. File sizes vary between 60mb upwards.
Guest jivkomk Posted June 5, 2011 Report Posted June 5, 2011 Yes from ebay but a uk seller. File sizes vary between 60mb upwards. I had the same problem -fake SD card. Return and refund. If the ebayer don,t want to refund open case in EBay, they will help you.

Guest rilot Posted June 5, 2011 Report Posted June 5, 2011 Thanks. So it is fake even though it does play back some files? Try filling it with stuff.
Guest ryukent Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 There are so many fakes out there, especially from eBay. They will usually hold like 2GB and say they are 16-32GB. They look VERY realistic and authentic with good packaging, but are ultimately counterfeit. You can test them using the link below: How to detect fake memory / SD cards Some estimates are that over 30% on eBay are fakes.
Guest yogayogi Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 As a (generally enthusiastic) user of Ebay over several years, my experience / opinion is that overall (at least) 1 in 10 of ebay sellers are less than 100% honest. And about the same percentage go out of their way to give a superb level of service. Given that in some categories (eg used furniture) 9 out of 10 sellers seem honest, my opinion / experience is that in certain other categories (electronics? mobiles?) a lot of sellers are actually not people you want to buy from. Of course, one hears there are many less-than-honest buyers on Ebay too. Ebay seem generally good at refunding dodgy purchases; but it's delay & the hassle of buying again. Caveat emptor! (ie buyer beware; if it looks too good to be true - it probably is; where possible buy locally - then you can bang on their door if needed)
Guest gitf@ce Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 Deffo a dodgy card... I bought three 32gb cards from ebay and all of them would not play video files. I spent ages fiddling with different codecs/conversions and players to no avail. I purchased some branded 16gb from Play and had no more problems.
