Tegra 2 Chrome OS - Vega?

I am waiting for a new chromebook to arrive. I was thinking how awesome it would be to get my Vega tablet with the same OS!

That way, no matter if I want to work serious on the Chromebook, or just want a quick look on the sofa using the tablet, having the ChromeOS or the Chromiumbrowser available would be awesome.

I read that Google is working on this:

http://chromestory.com/2011/04/googles-own...s-touch-device/

So, anyone might have heard more, or have some information on possibilities on our Vega's?

I don't get it, but happy to fetch my coat :D

Android does everything that Chrome does, plus a huge amount more. The Chrome Browser and the stock Google browser (plus most other browsers) use the same Webkit engine so the Vega will run Chrome apps.

Or am I missing the point?

Don't really get the point Chrome OS and Android are both made by the same company with the same base its not like they aren't based on a lot of the same work and have most of the same capabilities. Also chrome browser is what is in android the different versions of android all have slightly different versions but its the same browser at heart.

I know its not exactly chrome but there are a lot of commonalities especially the newer versions are becoming more chrome like as it goes on. But they do have the same source much like android and chrome os not the same but similar in that they come from the same place with the same design methodologies which is probably the biggest commonality even coming from different sources and platforms the common requirements end up creating versions of essentially the same software.

Well, the android browser does not sync. When I log in with chrome I see MY webapps, my stuff, my world in the clouds. I would like to have a tablet with a browser that shows me the same environment. The androidbrowser cannot do that. Yet.

That the browser is capable of showing a lot of pages is true, but still, gmailpage and google docs are buggy! To give example.

It is a little buggy, its not as bad on CM7 as it is on the 2.2 roms and I have a feeling once 3.0 gets a bit more fixed up it will work properly. Have you tried the other browsers they can be better for some things opera is particularly good as an alternative and so far is the best for showing up every page properly from what I have seen. But I don't use googledocs so can't vouch for that I need more than it can offer in an office suite.
