Guest farfo Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 Hi there. I bought my Blade about 6 months ago after selling Spica i5700 and first think I did was flashing custom ROM. I wanted Froyo, so I had to do it right away. I was happy with the speed and everything (especially after sluggish Spica) but from time to time the phone would just restart. I was using JJ at first, then some time ago I changed to SS but it did not help. I decided to try FLB but it restarted during setting up so I flashed stock Eclair rom immediately. I have been using the stock rom for 3-4 days now and didn't have any problems... Sooo, do you have any ideas what might cause restarts on Froyo roms? Additional information: - GEN1 device - I think those restarts could have something to do with video drivers cause they usually happened in games/sygic aura/google maps. Sometimes while I was just browsing menus. - Before the restart I would see some graphics artefacts for a split second and then green droid would appear and the phone would boot again. Any help would be appreciated.
Guest farfo Posted June 10, 2011 Report Posted June 10, 2011 Well, I was using stock rom for a couple of days without any problems. I installed some of the programs I usually use but this time opted for Go Launcher EX intead of Launcher Pro which usually was the first thing I installed. I decided to give Go Launcher a try on 2.2 rom and I am now running FLB witg Go Launcher and did not have any restarts yet. I am not using my phone a lot though. So, just in case somebody has the same problem in future, you can try that.
Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted June 10, 2011 Report Posted June 10, 2011 If you are over clocking then this can be an issue... I doubt launcherpro would give you a reboot...
Guest farfo Posted June 11, 2011 Report Posted June 11, 2011 I will see, no reboots yet. I am not overclocking, that would be quite an obvious reason.
