Guest ZTE_Blade Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 I have a broken microusb port, if I send it off to SE to repair it, how much would it cost me? (excl. postage)

(excl. postage) Level 3 center aren't gods also. They can not repair torn off pads from PCB. Usually new board is swapped and the old one is scrapped. But... To be honest my own X10 has no pins left underneath the USB connector. Yes, I've managed to repair it... I am a official but did it only for myself, never as a official repair. It is too fragile. You should expect costs less than one third of new X10i price...

Guest sjondenon Posted June 15, 2011 Report Posted June 15, 2011 I think it's free because of the warranty ;)
Guest s0ci0 Posted June 15, 2011 Report Posted June 15, 2011 I think it's free because of the warranty ;) Yeah they said to me that it was free indeed.
Guest norigkgp1 Posted June 15, 2011 Report Posted June 15, 2011 Yeah they said to me that it was free indeed. Here in Spain warranty doesn´t include it. Got to pay for it to be repared. ;)
Guest ZTE_Blade Posted June 15, 2011 Report Posted June 15, 2011 I don't know if warranty applies to my one because I got my one off ebay, and it's 2nd hand.

Guest ZTE_Blade Posted June 15, 2011 Report Posted June 15, 2011 Yeah they said to me that it was free indeed. How long did it take for a response? It's been a week since I've sent it off.
Guest Ferrum Master Posted June 15, 2011 Report Posted June 15, 2011 Yeah they said to me that it was free indeed. It is free only for the first batch of X10, that didn't have epoxy filling around the USB connector. If the connector is broken and it has a epoxy glue it is customers fault and warranty repair can not be done under any circumstances.

I think it might be from the first batch because it came with 1.6 installed.
Guest Ferrum Master Posted June 16, 2011 Report Posted June 16, 2011 I think it might be from the first batch because it came with 1.6 installed. X10 glued from week 23 2010 Check if you wish... The manufacture date is written on IMEI label...
Guest ZTE_Blade Posted June 16, 2011 Report Posted June 16, 2011 X10 glued from week 23 2010 Check if you wish... The manufacture date is written on IMEI label... From the date code, seems my one's from week 13 of 2010.
Guest ZTE_Blade Posted June 16, 2011 Report Posted June 16, 2011 Just looked up the status of the repair, and seemingly they've fixed it and dispatched it. Don't know if they're going to charge me anything for it, but I was waiting for an email reply from them so I don't know when it was fixed.
Guest HunteronX Posted June 17, 2011 Report Posted June 17, 2011 I think it's free because of the warranty ;) I was told this as well (T-Mobile UK).
Guest ZTE_Blade Posted June 19, 2011 Report Posted June 19, 2011 ty guys for the help, I got it back, and it was under warranty.
