sd card 'invisible' in my san francisco

I hope can someone can help. My phone won't read my sd card and is displaying 'sd card removed' even when the card is in my phone. Its not even visible when I plug it into my pc using my card reader. I have a lot of photos on my sd card I don't want to lose so I wondered if anyone had had the same problem and if there is anyway of getting the files off the card?

Well then its pretty likely that the card will never, work, and, even if you can get it to, I think you would end up loosing any data stored on it, unfortunately.

Unless someone knows a mirical tool that can save your data for you, then I'm afraid you will most likely have to loose the data in the process of fixing it...
