brand new Orange San Fran and only getting 12 hours battery! is this normal?

I have a brand new San Fransico that has been flash upgraded to Gen 2 and then flashed to cyanmodgen 7 nighty 94 build. I have removed AWD Launcher and replaced with Launcher pro, loaded Green Power, so wifi is cutting off when phone is turned off and I reset the battery setting in clockworks so it calibrated ok.

Today I only got 12 hours life out of it (with just 2 x 2 minute calls and 10 text messages and camera used 8 times) no Wifi and 3g left on all the time)? This seem very poor my said said he can go about 2 days with calls and texts before charging.

Here is what Spare Parts says about the battery

Battery voltage = 3789 mV

Temp = 29.0C

Battery Health = Good

Running = 18.7%

Screen = 5.9%

Phone on =0.6%

Wifi On = 1.2%

Wifi Running 0.7%

I am also getting the about the same results on Swedish Spring and stock orange firmwares.

Do you think I should return it to carphonewarehouse?

I would say that is a poor battery i've seen worse but im pretty sure it shouldnt be that low, ask for a replacement battery

Wait a few days, it's likely your battery stats are a bit inaccurate ATM.

yer, as above, wait a few days and return it.

you sure your not syncing everthing every 5 mins over 3g tho? when i do this my battery life is pretty shite. however when data is used efficently, (2g when screen off, and no constant syncing of apps) cm7 lasts me a 2 days. and thats with some moderatly heavy gaming (currently nova 2 ;))

haha, its an awesome game. even better than the orginal ;)

the blade can play pretty much anything that works on an amv6.

currently running cm7 (its a self build around n89). changed .prop to the HTC thing (ask if you dont know what this is)

turn off surface dithering and JIT. overclocked (tho doubt this is needed) too 768mhz.

apk is v.1.0.3. and make sure you download the HTC sdcard cache (mine is the desire files)

I've got Google Music, it's not all that TBH. I don't even use it much. I just have it to brag really. It's mainly because the app is quite slow and shows duplicates of local music and stuff that's on the cloud.

Yes I was mainly wanting Voice ;) - after hearing all the "reviews" music got.

But im not doing too well at it the moment of getting an invite for voice :P - ive got the apk, just need to get my google account "invited" or registered or whatever :D

Tyvm, I got Nova working :D, might try Nova 2.

I might want to good the old SD card cache cause I lost that file cause I got a card upgrade :P

No idk what just in time and surface dithering actually are (of wait surface dithering is some sort of graphics vs performance thing :D )

I've used mine a lot more than that on nightly 94 not sure what green power is though, accidentally left wifi on for few hours when I wasn't anywhere it would connect too.

Only thing that springs to mind is how charged was the battery when you reset the stats, not sure if this makes a difference but the calibration thread seems to suggest it might.

I noticed that disabling the "auto-screen rotation" gave a a huuge improvement in battery life. Maybe try this? I think it is some sort of bug in amkd2 proces. But I have swedish spring 5. But you can give it a try.

Voice doesn't work in the UK i snuck into the beta the day voice was activated in US and signed up for a voice number but soon after it was all locked out.

stating the obvious but have you done the pro-tip calibration on this forum?
