Guest jake_in_notts Posted June 9, 2011 Report Posted June 9, 2011 I used Gingerbreak to root mine. However I dont seem to have full root access and was unable to use android commander to removed system apps. I did get rid of a few using titanium pro but was unable to identify some of the LG stock applications with sufficient confidence to remove.
Guest netbios2k3 Posted June 9, 2011 Report Posted June 9, 2011 Today i was using Gingerbreak 1.2 on the 11 firmware,it works great.

Here is a post on a German forum listing which apps are safe and not safe to uninstall on an LG Black. If you don't understand German, Green is good, Orange means remove with caution, Red is a Not Safe and Blue is unkown. http://www.android-hilfe.de/anleitungen-fu...rnt-werden.html

Guest furb3t Posted July 2, 2011 Report Posted July 2, 2011 I rooted my lg p970 with gingerbreak1.2 and some app like titanium backup confirm that it's rooted, but when i remove some original app installed with original firm, i can't disinstall it. Maybe gingerbreak roots only a part of access?
Guest quyTam Posted July 7, 2011 Report Posted July 7, 2011 no, it's a full root. I've remove default app without problem with Titanium. Try to update SuperUser via titanium, or try to re-root with gingerbreak
