Guest dutta6 Posted June 9, 2011 Report Posted June 9, 2011 I just bought my acer liquid e and am waiting for it to arrive. I am wondering if I want to flash a custom rom based off android 2.3, do I need to first flash an official 2.2 bin or do I just have to flash the rom in malezrecovery (probably cm7 or miui)? The description said the phone came with 2.1 stock installed, so I am just wondering if I have to update to 2.2 before flashing custom roms based off 2.3? Thanks for your help.
Guest elgubbo Posted June 9, 2011 Report Posted June 9, 2011 Yes, a 2.2 base for custom roms is strongly recommended. best regards
