Guest beepo666 Posted June 10, 2011 Report Posted June 10, 2011 Hey all, After the success of the Beginners Guide to Installing Vegacomb was so successful I thought I would write some more. I've got Link2SD almost complete but I don't want to duplicate the efforts of other members with a bunch of tutorials that are already available here. Hence this post.... If there's something you want to know how to do, that takes more than just a quick search on these forums, why not drop a request in this thread and I'll write something up if there's enough interest. How's that for giving me a heap of work to do? Have a think about it and I'll get cracking. ;)
Guest trevor432990 Posted June 10, 2011 Report Posted June 10, 2011 Hey Beep nice work on the guides so far. I've not moved to Clockwork Mode yet due to problems when it first came out on Vega but now it's 'matured' and become more stable I'm thinking of installing and using it but I'd welcome a Noddy guide on how to install and use it correctly for the various functions it has. Thanks ;)
Guest robwoolly Posted June 10, 2011 Report Posted June 10, 2011 what about something on setting TVersity up on the Vega? That would be something that would be a big help for me, unless of course it already exists??

Your tuts are by far the easiest for us novice vega shmucks, would like some help gingerbread/ cyanogen mod, as that is being a little trickyfor me. Amazing work buddy, any way we can get your tuts and maybe roms pinned as sticky, just for the easy of access?

Guest beepo666 Posted June 11, 2011 Report Posted June 11, 2011 Ha, blushing. Seriously, I've added all of these to the list. I've been looking at what to do with my website for a while, I think I'm going to position the Advent Vega tutorials as the core and shuffle my adventures in Asia off to one side. I have a list of 30 or so tutorial ideas, some are simple background knowledge etc but I'll throw them in so we are all up to speed with the great work done in the community. Some are more complicated, like the TVersity one, which I use for iPad and PS3 as well. OK, enough chit chat, once i get to the farm today I'll finish up the one I'm working on and get cracking. Keep the ideas coming and I'll keep writing :-)
Guest beepo666 Posted June 13, 2011 Report Posted June 13, 2011 Brief update... o Added more to the Titanium backup tutorial showing how to set up scheduling. Will be expanded further to cover restoring apps. o Added details of how to manually root your Advent Vega, will add a specific One Click Recovery Installer article shortly as well. o I'm hoping today to have up a guide helping people update vegacomb from 1.5.1 to 1.5.2. Will probably do this in a generic way so it applies to other ROMs as well. If there's time the CWM guide will be up today, and possibly the Link2SD but I need to get back to the hotel as I left my Advent charger there. ;) Any more requests out there?

Hello Beepo someone has added to a thread asking for a rom guide ( points for and against each one ) which to be honest sounds like a great idea and something that could help you while away the long Thai hours ;) That would most definately be useful to noobs
