Guest quyTam Posted June 10, 2011 Report Posted June 10, 2011 (edited) Hello everyone, I've bricked my LG Black yesterday :'( After reboot, the bootanimation is played, but it's stuck and there's only black screen with 4 buttons flashing. I've update v11b (with Bouygue layer) and it worked, I've succeed to change the Bouygue bootanimation, but when trying to get rid of the shutdown animation (by uninstalling PowerOff.apk with titatium) I get stuck after a reboot. I've try to : - manually reinstall a rom (link) - recover the initial one (link) but without effect. Can anyone have an idea of how can I fix it ? Thanks ps: I've previously installed CWM, does it can help to fix the situation ? Edited June 13, 2011 by quyTam
Guest ch_uy Posted June 10, 2011 Report Posted June 10, 2011 http://www.android-hilfe.de/anleitungen-fu...lashen-kdz.html Here's a Link to a german thread handling the recovery And in another thread here on modaco in the lg sectio n there are several different firmwares lnked with whom you can flash. I don't have the time to translate the link at the moment. if id doesn't help you, try google translate or maybe someone else can translate it. Since the LG OB doesn't have a key cmbination to boot to revocery, having cwm installed doens't help with your brick. but if you did a backup beforhand you could get that back after flashing one of the above mentionend firmwares. so your data would be restored.
Guest quyTam Posted June 10, 2011 Report Posted June 10, 2011 (edited) Thanks for your reply. I've already try this method, it's the first link that I've put in my message (but don't know why it the link is changed and doesn't work) it's this link (post 32) Edited June 10, 2011 by quyTam

Guest quyTam Posted June 10, 2011 Report Posted June 10, 2011 u have cwm installed? then create a stupid rom a x10 image or so...flash it via update.zip and reinstall it with emergency install from LG Thanks for your reply. I've installed CWM, but cannot get in recovery menu (apparently, LG didn't have Keystroke Combo to enter Recovery on Booting) So I can't use backup I've made previously. I've also try with adb, but there's a "error: device not found" What is "emergency intall" ? in the KDZ there is "PhoneMode" and I can chose CS_EMERGENCY, DIAG or EMERGENCY, what's the difference ?
Guest netbios2k3 Posted June 10, 2011 Report Posted June 10, 2011 Download the tool LG Mobile Update, got link not here, sorry, there go to menu "customer support" ->recovery phone, i think this helps
Guest pihx Posted June 11, 2011 Report Posted June 11, 2011 I'm not sure what you can do if LG Mobile Update recovery does not work and manual flash doesn't either. I know booting into recovery does not work since Black doesn't have a key combo to boot into recovery AFAIK.
Guest erik501 Posted June 11, 2011 Report Posted June 11, 2011 I think the problem is the firmware update don't reset the telephone,is only update the firmware and eventually error remain in settings.

Yes, I think so. As an update don't erase all our data configuration, error remains. But for the recover mode with the LG update, it should erase all the data (but don't seems to be the case unfortunately). All I want is a wipe all ;) ps: I've tried LG recover, KDZ flash 10a, 10b (11b doesn't succeed to flash) but same result.
