Guest Black knight101 Posted June 10, 2011 Report Posted June 10, 2011 Hi, Hope someone can advise. Running a Gen 1 SF. only about 2 weeks old. Sweeding Spring 5. Found it particulally slow these last few days. To alliveate running CPU control at 614 Max 245 Min On Demand Also running task killer Set to Crazy and 'when screen off' I still am finding it slow. Every time I clear the task killer there is a load of stuff open again Swiftkey Task killer free Antiviruscom.googleandroid.gsf com.android.providers.drm Spotify com.android.qualcom Maps com.geekyouup.android.widgets.battery Can anyone confirm if thats whats normal to be running? Can I improve things anyhow. Really likled thismphone from new but it seems to be getting slower and slower. Thanks
Guest k0zmic Posted June 10, 2011 Report Posted June 10, 2011 Well that does look normal. That's how Android works - it puts apps into memory for faster load times.

Not sue what you mean by putting apps into memory, am new to this. just finding things are taking a little longer e.g when pressing 'home' I get a background screen then the apps/wigets load a second later. It used to be instantanous. What is the qualcomm thing and the .gsf shown in the task killer? Thanks.
Guest i am not a hacker Posted June 10, 2011 Report Posted June 10, 2011 you need to lock your on-screen in memory. so your taskiller doesn't kill it. go onto your task killer and hold down on your launcher application and select ignore. then going back too home will be fast with everything loaded up anyway

Bit weary of adjusting things after my newbie experince of ramping up the overclock and apply on boot before actually testing it! Thanks
Guest shadowninty Posted June 10, 2011 Report Posted June 10, 2011 The task killer is confusing Android making it slow perhaps No need for task killer - this ain't Symbian or w/e ;)
