Stock Gingerbreak launcher (AKA Nexus S)

Ok, don't flame, i've searched the hell outta this and come up with nothing.

I've tried to install the stock 2.3 launcher (launcher2) from a number of sources on my SGS2, what happens is it will start, but with a completely black screen and you get the buttons when menu is pressed and so on, and you can even long press the screen to bring up the context menu, but no wallpaper ect.

Now, I know there are two versions you can install off the market, one that I am talking about (3D drawer) and a modaco one that paul put on there (No 3D drawer), I was after the one with the 3D launcher. (Sorry Paul, trying to get a really stock look) :-p

Any idea's anyone? Does it do the same for you? Or am I missing summat obvious?

I had both gingerbread launchers working. End the launcher process in application settings once installed. Otherwise restart your phone.

Nope, tried that, still no joy. Just doesn't work, you can drop Widgets on the page and interct with them, but you can't see anything. Have you actually tried it on your phone? Does it work for you?

Edit: Just read that you had them working, dunno why it won't work on mine, Paul's modaco one does, but not the other

works OK for me - doesn't seem to have any quirks.
