Hello all first post here.

I just got my hands on the orange San Francisco but it seems to be a newer version it has the TFT screen and 414Mb of memory rather than 150MB. the build number ends in B10 not b05 or b08 like I read elsewhere

Basically i want to root it and i want to be sure that it will work as I have heard that if you root the one with the tft screen the colors show funny becasue it isnt oled and as the above is different from the normal model what do I do to root do I just use the guides on this forum or do I need to to do anything different.

Sorry if this is a very noob question.

Thanks all

The 414MB of RAM means it is a 512MB model, like the majority of us. Android takes the other wee bit, so you don't see that.

B10 is simply the latest build, most new phones have that now. I'm not sure if there will be any difference rooting, but I know some B10 phones have problems when installing custom ROMs etc.

Sorry I can't be of more help ;) Welcome to the forums!

All of those issue are now dated, none of them are relevant unless flashing a very much older ROM.

Some b10 phones supposedly have issues, but thats mainly getting into fastboot.

I recommend using a TPT to upgrade your phone, as this is very simple and gets everything done in just a few steps.

Just beware of Gen1 and Gen2 ROMS.
