Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted June 11, 2011 Report Posted June 11, 2011 Hello all ;) I was just trying to use the blade as a webcam, because, then there would be no need in buying one :P has anyone found an app which alows me to connect to a pc and then allow the pc to use the blade as a webcam? So far I have tried EpocCam - which really doesnt work And WoWebcam - which looks promising, as I can get the "pc client" to appear as connected, but it doesn't actually show the video, and no other applications can seem to access it... So, has anyone found a working program? Any details on how you did this would be appreciated too :D

Guest wbaw Posted June 11, 2011 Report Posted June 11, 2011 You could buy a much better quality webcam for around £10, just saying...

Yes, it would be. You could buy a much better quality webcam for around £10, just saying... I know I plan to buy one I was just wondering if anyone had had any huge success in using the blade, in which there would be little point in buying one ;)

Guest ColdEmbrace Posted June 13, 2011 Report Posted June 13, 2011 any webcam via usb apps? none that i've found that work, which is kind of lame. But maybe you can find one
Guest paulus22 Posted June 13, 2011 Report Posted June 13, 2011 Just been playing with ipwebcam - very impressed. As stated earlier in the thread full resolution works with very decent quality. the only problem I have is that the image taken is widescreen, but the java plugin that plays it (Win7 IE9) displays the full image but at 4:3 aspect, hence narrowing everything. Anyone know how to change the plugin to match the webcam aspect ratio (or any other tweak to fix it)?
