Using the blade as a webcam (for a pc)

Hello all ;)

I was just trying to use the blade as a webcam, because, then there would be no need in buying one :P

has anyone found an app which alows me to connect to a pc and then allow the pc to use the blade as a webcam?

So far I have tried EpocCam - which really doesnt work

And WoWebcam - which looks promising, as I can get the "pc client" to appear as connected, but it doesn't actually show the video, and no other applications can seem to access it...

So, has anyone found a working program?

Any details on how you did this would be appreciated too :D

Five minutes will test what you listed and let you know

Epoc pretends it wants too work, flashes too cam view and back again every few seconds,

I couldn't get the files for WoWebcam too download

WO Webcam can't access the camera on my phone

I have WO Webcam registering on my computer as connected but it isn't showing up on any program. Is that your issue?

install ipwebcam from the marked....access it by wifi from PC web browser

Can confirm it worked enough for me to stream via vlc and take a picture, didn't test beyond that hope it helps you ;)

Edit: Set up for webcam usage via msn, so painfully (i dont use webcam) can confirm it will work for you :P best of luck

I know I plan to buy one I was just wondering if anyone had had any huge success in using the blade, in which there would be little point in buying one ;)

WOW Ip webcam is great! The quality is good (doesnt effect lag), its just a shame its 3 seconds behind the real world even on low settings, but hey, don't most webcams! ;)

none that i've found that work, which is kind of lame. But maybe you can find one

Just been playing with ipwebcam - very impressed. As stated earlier in the thread full resolution works with very decent quality. the only problem I have is that the image taken is widescreen, but the java plugin that plays it (Win7 IE9) displays the full image but at 4:3 aspect, hence narrowing everything. Anyone know how to change the plugin to match the webcam aspect ratio (or any other tweak to fix it)?
