ehh, that s my house!!! ;)

guess what? I have with me 3 pages of orange, and it says "contract".on the fthird page" time of the contract"

it say i am responsible to respect the contract.yes, it s a 2 years contract. so unlocking is ILLEGAL.

check the paper you receive with your SF.

maybe in other country they can not force you to sign for 2 years, but here it s the law.

when you got your SF at orange or anywhere else, you sign a contract for 2 years.

you know what it cost to break a contract, jail !!! worse, eavy fine.

they have your name, adress...I would be scare if I was you!

yes they can run a check a see how many phones have been hacked, root,...

they can check you IMEI and see how many calls you did with their prepaid phone or what card you are using and you will be in BIG TROUBLES!!!

yeah, dont be surprised if one day at 6am you see 2 cops in front of your doors asking u to come to their police office for some investigations.

(yeah, get rid of your stupid smile, I am serious!!!)

I want the crack his on ;)

you dont pay everymonth, you pay as you go with orange or your operator, and that's a contract. changing sim card is ILLEGAL.

PAYG is a contract, facto!

it s 2 years lock, facto!

unlock it, is breaking the rules. desim, root, or whatever is ILLEGAL. it become legal after 2 years!

when i bought mine, they ask for an ID, i gave my passport, and the lady told me it' s blocked for 2 years.

now all of you, i bet you didn't say" I want a SF so I can unlock it and root it once I am back home, I dont care of your prepaid minutes of crap, all I want is a cheap android hardware"

dont be a bunch of hypocrytes, we broke the contracte just to get a cheap SF. then what will happen? next phone will be more expensive thanks to your cheap charly' attitude.

GUILTY !!!!

(yeah I will check my contract and post it on line)

What contract?? I'm curious... at what point during this process did you sign a contract dictating how you will use the item? Because none of us did. And merely purchasing an item does not legally bind you to how you use it - in most of the free world anyway!

What sort of regulation do you have in Switzerland when you believe the manufacturer of an item can sue you if you don't use it per the manufacturers directions? If you're not doing something illegal with an item you can do what you like with it. The worst you can do is invalidate your warranty.

PAYG is not a 2 year contract lol. What are you on? You could buy a phone and throw it in the bin not paying them a penny in payg fees. No-one will arrest you I promise you.

well that s maybe switzerland, but i swear, when i asked the lady i want a SF in the shop in switzerland , she asked me for an ID, she did a copy of my ID (passport)., then she asked me to sign the contract and she kept a copy, before I sign I asked her i dont want a monthly contract where you have to buy 30 euro a months...., she replied "no, you pay as you go for 2 years , you know the phone is locked"

then she gave me the receipt cliped with the "contract", and the phone and i left with a smile.

well maybe thas only in switzerland, but bet this is a contract, and it can go against us now. (i mean here in switzerland)

OK. So your title should probably be changed to 'Orange can sue me' then. The rest of us are fine. :P

You know right, that this is factored into the pricing. Mobile phone companies aren't stupid. They work out the cheapest they can sell a handset for after factoring the number of people that will unlock it (which is completely legal in a lot of the world thankyou) against the number that will stay. Then of those that stay they'll estimate the average income they'll make from them. Here you have to factor in those that will rarely use the phone and not make them much money against those that will use it a lot. Then you have to factor in the people upgrading from existing orange handsets - these people will bring in no-more money than if they'd stayed on their old handset paying the same payg fees. I'm curious, does that make them criminal in your eyes? Should they donate a large cheque to the CEO of Orange so they can sleep at night? ;)

If Orange had got these profit calculations unsatisfactorily wrong (due to the ease with which it can be unlocked) - they wouldn't keep selling the phone cheap on special offers. :D Trust me, they're making money! You don't have to feel bad for Orange on our behalf.

My SF was a PAYG phone from Argos, no contract that I am aware of.

Yes, Orange can in theory check whether you have used their sim in their phone but unlocking isn't illegal so I don't think I have broken any laws.

I'm sure Orange have better things to do than checking who bought a SF and never used the Orange sim.
